This rosé is a blend of Grenache (60%), Sangiovese (20%), Shiraz (20%). Our grapes were picked early morning and transported to the winery in 15kg crates. Here it was then cooled to 4 ̊C before being destemmed and crushed. The juice was then kept for a period of 4 weeks at a stable temperature of 2.5 ̊C, prior to fermentation being allowed to take place.
Fermentation occurred in tank over a period of 3 weeks. The wine was then racked and remained on its fine lees for a period of 5 months before being filtered and bottled.
This blush coloured rosé shows extraordinary bright fruit, with ripe notes of melon and tropical fruit, followed by a round, beautifully balanced palate that lingers long after you’ve taken the initial sip.
Our labels are inspired by well-known South African abstract artist Walter Battiss and each bottle portrays one of the ‘Walking Feathers’ from this particular artwork. In a case of 6 bottles, one will find 4 different label variations.
